In Kuresoi, a region known for its tea production, Tea Cess Funds are being utilized to upgrade farm-access roads, improving the movement of agricultural produce and strengthening the local economy. Over 700 kilometers of roads will be upgraded across the county, ensuring better connectivity for farmers and businesses alike.
The Directorate of Public Works plays a crucial role in maintaining quality and standards. They oversee drainage construction, stormwater infrastructure, and ensure adherence to engineering standards, guaranteeing that every public project is built to last and meets modern urban development principles.
Regionally, Nakuru is set to benefit from the Rironi–Mau Summit Highway dualling project. This 175-kilometer upgrade will modernize the region's busiest transport corridor, solidifying Nakuru's position as a key commercial gateway in East Africa.
