The story centers on Aishe, a Chinese Uyghur Muslim undocumented immigrant played by newcomer Sebiye Behtiyar. She catches the eye of Skinner, portrayed by Fred Hechinger, a young veteran who reaches out with sudden, impulsive warmth. A spark quickly grows into something more intimate, yet fragile.
